- I am a 55 year old women from NY now living in Madison WI. I have a daughter who lives and teaches in D.C. My son Alex age 24, passed away on July 12. He had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I have been Alex's caretaker as his disease progressed and we spent the last 4 years spending most of our time together.
